A Tribute To My Sister

Just finished this multi-pocketed mini album for my sister.  I've already had so many wonderful comments posted on my YouTube channel about it.  Mostly, "how it touched them" and "made them want to do one for their sister" as well.  My comment back to them...do so, as there is no time like the present to let those you love, know it.

This album has so much in it.  Items I know my sister likes.  It is a little treasure trove of goodies.

It starts with a reflection on our early childhood days together.  Hand-made flower are used throughout the book.  I tried to make this album more hand-crafted and very personal.

Made custom little booklets to hold pictures of my sister and I trimming the grapevines.  Used buttons from my mothers button box throughout the album as well.

Each page has a word that expresses my thoughts about my sister.

This half-page was dedicated to our mother.  She is a Woman Of Faith and has been a steady Christian influence in our lives.

This page had a special transparency pocket trimmed with Prima lace.  It held one of my "little mini" Proverbs 31 books titled The Wife of Noble Character.  Trimmed with Prima pearls, hand-crafted fabric flower, a cross charm, fibers and ribbons, sweetly embellished this booklet.

It's A Sister Thing was a poem I found that seemed very fitting to give to my sister.  It was tucked inside one of the side pockets of this album. The little card opens up to reveal the poem and is decorated with pearls, fibers, and a very pretty hair pin.

You can see more on how I made this album on my YouTube channel below.  Chipboard material is used for the cover and back.  The pages inside are made from 6" x 9" envelopes are trimmed to create clever pocket pages and fold over pages.  The overall album size is 6" x 6".

Since I've had so many wonderful comments about my Proverbs 31 "little mini" booklet, titled The Wife Of Nobel Character, I thought I would give you a sneak peek at it since these hand-crafted books will be going up on my etsy store shortly.  Enjoy!

Have a blessed day and please leave me a comment if you have time.  Blessings, Valerie
